
Hala Fadel is a driven individual who believes in social change in the Arab region through empowering the youth. She considers empowering the youth can be done through promoting entrepreneurship and organizing constructive events in the region. She has founded numerous NGOs that cater to the advancement and development of the youth, including the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Pan-Arab region which helped start over 120 businesses in the Arab region and MIT Enterprise Forum Global, an avid promoter of entrepreneurship globally.
She is also Founder and Chair of the first “carfree” event in the Middle East; 12 km in the city of Tripoli were free of cars for24 hours. The Goal of this event which gathered more than 20,000 people was to raise awareness about the environment and to highlight Tripoli as a key player in such causes.
Hala Fadel is portfolio manager at Comgest, and president of the Beirut office that services the Middle East.
She previously worked at Merrill Lynch and ranked number 1 and number 3 over 50 European analysts.
