Under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, NAWF was first launched in Dubai in 2007, and then moved to Beirut where it was held in 2008, 2009 and 2010 under the patronage of H.E. Wafaa Michel Suleiman and under the patronage of the Minister of Social Affairs H.E. Mr. Wael Abou Faour in 2012. NAWF has now established itself as a pioneering, widely attended annual event in the region, and building on its huge success, our aim is to continue to develop and widen its scope, impact and authority in the Arab world.
NAWF is an ideal platform for open and lucid discussions of the many vital issues concerned with the evolving role of women in Arab society, political life and business, as well as prospects and challenges achieved through the 3 below crucial factors but ever-present :
Voicing the hopes, aims and concerns of the Arab contemporary woman relevant and most up-to-date subjects are brought forward through high caliber speakers covering a wide range of lively and sensitive issues handled in a professional and cultured manner, of interest to women and men alike including: current status and leadership of Arab women in political, business life, and society in general, women and the media, sexuality, education, creativity, and culture amongst others.
